ABOUT

I am a pictorial artist living and working in Oslo, Norway. Below is a little information about my work, what inspires me and what techniques I use.

Collages and Drawings

In my collages and drawings I wish to convey something of the different facets of the human experience.

The city’s pulsing rhythms, people in motion.

Life under bridges, in the shadows.

Light and joy.

Loneliness. Humor. Sorrow.

I combine different techniques and materials within a given piece, including ink drawing, monotype, graphite, and acrylic painting. An expressive gesture drawing from the human figure might help get a collage underway, and itself become part of the piece.

ART RELEVANT EDUCATION AND PRACTICE:

The Norwegian State Arts and Crafts teachers’ college in Oslo. 1983.

For ten years I worked as an arts and crafts teacher.

I now longer work as a teacher, but concentrate instead on my artwork (since 2001).
