”Untouched Landscape”

 

Norway is a country of beautiful and wild nature. A source of inspiration and recreation, with room for adventure.

But nature is vulnerable to outside influences.

For this reason I have chosen to present “Untouched Landscape” as a project. It is important to me to stress the value of landscapes which have not been subjected to direct human intervention.

In nature there are exciting contrasts. One can experience the mystery of a dark forest or the liberating feeling of light and air in open landscapes. Steep inhospitable terrain or a peaceful winter countryside.

In untouched nature we can encounter the contrasts in ourselves.

 

I have sorted my pictures by theme, and the pages have the following subtitles:

“In Steep Terrain” ( I bratt terreng)

“Details” (Detaljer)

“In the Depths of the Forest” ( I skogens dyp)

“Autumn” (Høst)

“By Water” (Ved vann)

“Stormy Weather” (Ruskevær)

 

 

Techniques and materials

 

I work with oil pastels on paper, often combined with pencils, watercolors, acrylics and paper collage. I build up my pictures layer by layer, but just as frequently I scrape away layers and use erasers. Besides, paper collage can have exciting effects.

 

 

Background

 

I live and work in Oslo. I am a member of the Association of Norwegian Visual Artists, the main organization for professional artists in Norway.

My curriculum vitae includes separate art exhibits as well as participation in many collective and group exhibits. I am a graduate of the Norwegian state arts and crafts teachers’ college  in Oslo. For ten years I worked as an arts and crafts teacher. Now I no longer work as a teacher and concentrate instead on my artwork.

”Paisaje virgen”
Noruega es un país con una naturaleza  hermosa y salvaje. La naturaleza es una fuente de inspiración y de recreo. La naturaleza se abre para la aventura.
Pero la naturaleza es al mismo tiempo vulnerable por la influencia exterior.

Mi proyecto artístico es mostrar “el paisaje virgen” Para mi es muy importante recalar  el valor del paisaje donde el hombre no ha intervenido directamente.

En la naturaleza hay muchos contrastes fuertes. En el bosquecillo oscuro uno puede sentir el misterio.  En un paisaje abierto -  el alivio por la luz y el aire. Hay terrenos empinados, inhóspitos o se puede disfrutar la tranquilidad de un paisaje cubierto de nieve.

En la naturaleza virgen el hombre puede encontrarse con sus propios contrastes.

Aquí quiero mostrar una colección temática de mis obras, con los siguientes subtítulos:

“En terreno escarpado” ( I bratt terreng )

“Los detalles” (Detaljer)

“En la profundidad del bosque” ( I skogens dyp )

”Otoño” ( Høst )

Junto al lago ( Ved vann )

”La borrasca” ( Ruskevær )

Las  técnicas y los materiales:

Trabajo con los óleos  pasteles  combinándolos con lápiz, acuarelas, y montajes de papel. Hago varias capas y  luego rasco y borro para obtener el efecto deseado. El montaje del papel  puede además crear efectos interesantes.

 

Mis datos personales:

Vivo y trabajo en Oslo, la capital de Noruega. Soy socia de “the Association of Norwegian Visual Artists”, la asociación principal para los  pintores profecionales en Noruega.

Mi currículum vitae incluye varias exposiciones individuales y también varias exposiciones colectivas. Me gradué en la escuela de maestros de arte y diseño. Estuve trabajando 10 años como profesora de arte y diseño. Dejé la enseñanza y ahora trabajo exclusivamente de pintora.
